Thank God it’s Friday night and I just-just-just-just-juuuuuuust got paid. 
But, wait. Is your paycheck looking a bit smaller? 
That’s because the payroll tax holiday has been sacrificed to the fiscal-cliff gods.If you make $50,000 a year, you’ll pay an extra $1,000 this year in Social Security taxes (compared to last year).

 So, now we’re left to our own devices to prevent a cut in take-home pay. While we can’t protect you from the tax increase, we can show you how to make sure that less tax, not more, is withheld from your 2013 paychecks.
